How to play Mini Golf

Try Mini Golf at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Three original obstacle courses; wall bounces and friction.

A careful first round

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Check the rules when you are unsure.

Step by step

1. Aim a stopped ball.
2. Set power and putt.
3. Wait until it stops before another shot.
4. Use Next hole after sinking.

Controls

Touch aim, angle/power sliders and Putt. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Use the visible help when you are unsure of the next input.

A useful example

A soft final putt can sink where a fast crossing would not. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Choose a deliberate next step.

Watch out for this

The hole accepts only a sufficiently slow ball. Compare the situation with the worked example. Choose one rule to keep in mind for this round. Apply it consistently rather than guessing what another version might allow.
